Caddo Lake Review
A unexpected mind twister on Max. This follows the story of a 8 year old who disappears, starting a chain of events that would unravel a family. Paris (Dylan O’Brien) who has been struggling with the loss of his mother, would discover this mysterious area that would transport him into another time. Little did he know that would alter his family’s life. Moving to another time where 8 year old Anna disappears on the lake while following her sister is gone without a trace. But, she didn’t know is she would wander into a mysterious place that would transport her into another time. While missing her sister Ellie would go on this hunt to find her. But, how will all this come together and how will they be related?
I’ll stop there and implore you to watch this one. While not a horror film, it does have horror elements, but leans more on the mystery and thriller side of things. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this, from the first to the last moment I was at the edge of my seat. But, I was left somewhat unsatisfied as some things are left unresolved. Which left me bothered at the end. It still makes for a good watch, with great performances, and good visuals.
Overall 3/5
