Back In Action Review

Cameron Diaz is back in action literally. A smash out of the park or dead on arrival?

After 15 years Emily (Cameron Diaz) and Matt (Jamie Foxx) are living a seemingly quiet life but all of that is turned upside down, when they and their children become the hunted. As any good action movie, they must start off with a bang, and that they do. With a flight action sequence, that looks a little wonky visually. Which seems to be a trending factor for a lot of action films. But is that enough to ruin the watching experience, I don’t think so. It’s just your typical action film, with a fun but not mind-blowing twist.

I could have seen this before the age of streaming doing somewhat well in theaters, but today not so much. This film doesn’t leave me with much to say. But, it does continues to add to the decrease in quality these streamers are pumping out, from the script, acting, or just visual effects. Lately Netflix has not been doing so well with VFX/CGI work, and it is increasingly noticeable.

Overall 3/5
