The Penguin Episode 6: "The Gold Summit" Review

Oz is becoming very successful in his Bliss business. Salvatore and Sofia are like a mouse caught in the trap when it comes to Oz's Bliss business. When Sal and Sofia find out about Oz's Bliss business that plan to send a message to anyone that works for Oz or is thinking about working for him. Hell, they even try to go as far as trying to find something important to him that they can use to their advantage. Their are only two things that Oz cares about: his girlfriend Eve Karlo and his mother Francis.

While Oz is expanding his Bliss business by affiliating himself with the triads and trying to get Salvatore and Sofia off his back, Victor has his own set of problems to deal with. Squid (an old associate of Victor's) finally catches onto Victor and threatens to expose him and Oz if he isn't brought into their Bliss operation. Panicked and left with no other choice Victor shoots him dead and later on in the episode we see Oz comforting him about it telling him, “it gets better.” It seems like everything is great for Oz as he even convinces the most power gang members to join up with him to rule the city and take down the Gigantes, Maronis, and upper elite.

One of the best scenes in this episode is Francis telling Oz to put her out of her misery if she becomes a vegetable because she doesn't want anyone to look at her as “helpless”. Also, Oz threatens a city official to turn the power back on at Crown Point. When the power is turned back on Victor and Francis celebrate by dancing to one of her vinyl records. However, the episode ends with Sofia entering the apartment with a crowbar.
