The Penguin Episode 5: "Homecoming" Review

I was holding off discussing this episode because contrary to popular belief I wasn't a major fan of this episode. This episode Oz kidnaps the Maronis son, Taj in an exchange for the Bliss shipment that Nadia took. While Oz is handling business with the Maronis he ask Richard to look after his mother until he gets things situated. I think this was the least interesting part of the entire episode because it didn't feel like it tied into anything major with the plot of the episode and honestly, I found it kind of boring.

The best part of this episode was seeing Sofia finally step up to the plate and run things in the family. She has officially taken over the Falcone name and modeled everything after her mother out of respect. After Viti disagrees about Sofia seeking vengeance about being mistreated and neglected she executes him in cold blood. Sofia's brother was the only true person that had her back so I definitely feel her actions and words are justified.

The episode ends with Sofia forming an alliance with one of the Maronis to kill Oz and put an end to their family feud. While on the other end Oz shows Victor an underground railway where they are going to start their new Bliss business. Overall, this was okay, but the stuff involving Oz and his mother wasn't really important or interesting to me.
