Agatha All Along E6-7 Review

Spoilers!!!!

7 episodes in an we are nearly there, but I don’t want it to end and I need more.

Episode 6 had me enamored, and somewhat resolved. I do wonder how it was possible Billy got into a new body, and what exactly remembers anything about his life with Wanda, Vision, and his brother Tommy. But, we see the after events of Wanda Vision, and Billy enter into a new body. We see him go on a quest to learn more, and hopefully find his brother.

In E7 he asks if she’s really gone, and Agatha says “yes, no…I don’t know” which I say in the words of Elizabeth Olsen “She’s never gone.” So I won’t be surprised if we see he at the end of this show, or in Vision Quest. Also, I am sitting patiently for Tommy, and White Vision to return. But his attitude when Agatha calls Wand his mother has me wanting to say watch your tone! I can understand his attitude, but at the same time I’m like Wanda would move everything for you.

As we enter E7 this is Lilia’s trial but knowing how she and Jen seemingly disappeared at the end of E5 this begs the question. Where did Billy send them to? Why did Agatha come out rather quickly from under the road?

This Wickedess themed episode was well done. Well the little spells Lilia has had, all seem to make more sense. She has the ability to see into the future to an extent, and her trial makes for one of the more emotional episodes yet. The visuals alone in this episode were spectacular, and the music is so complementary. The ending song immediately made me think of Evan Peter’s in X-Men, and I don’t know if it’s a nod to Quicksilver, the X-men, or just a song choice that was fitting for the moment. But I’ve learned nothing with Marvel is a coincidence so let me live in the mindset that it means something.

What gets me is she knew she was going to die, but doesn’t know how or when until this episode. Which is heartbreaking. What adds on to the heartbreak is a Variety interview with Jac Schaeffer says “Death is immutable. It is permanent. With this show, we wanted to pay respect to that. So this a more earnest and grave conversation about death than maybe you would find in another superhero project.” This begs the question, what will happen to Agatha and Rio at the end of this show? I hope we do see them again, because they are pinnacle characters that we need more of.

I am ready for the last 2 episodes! I am invested to see them wrap this up, and what will lie at the end of the road. Regardless of that, this show and Jac has the most exceptional ability to build up a fantastic story. With amazing visuals, acting, writing, and complimentary music.

PS. I am still captured by E5 and Billy’s reveal! But Billy you better watch your tone and remember Wanda is your mother, and practically burned down a whole multiverse for you, and took a town for you.

Overall 5/5
