The Penguin Episode 3: "Bliss" Review

This episode kicks off with a flashback of Victor witnessing his family die during the flood The Riddler caused in the The Batman. Like the previous episode focused on Sofia Falcone this episode is purely focused on Victor and him struggling to adjust to his new life of working for The Penguin while still being attached to his old one. With no family left after the flood, his only remaining contact is his girlfriend who is looking to make a new life in California with him. Honestly, I think Penguin and Victor are more a like than they think. They're both outcast, and both have one person in their lives (Penguin’s mother and Victor's girlfriend) that means the world to them.

Of course the seeds are still being planted with Sofia Falcone not trusting Penguin. Especially with this new drug being cooked up (“Bliss” is what they're calling it), it's only a matter of time before The Penguin kicks Sofia to the curb and takes that over just like he did the drops business. This is probably my least favorite episode thus far. Yeah, Victor got some character development but I'm more interested in Sofia finally catching wind of Penguin and all of that took a backseat to the Victor plot. I understand why, however, I just wasn't that interested in it.
