Agatha All Along Episode 5 Review

My gosh my jaw is dropped! As we enter trial 3 Agatha is put to the test. This was the toughest yet, and not so light hearted. As we see some glimpses into her past. Including her mother, who has pure hatred for her. Truly heartbreaking, instead of teaching her to use her powers she wanted to put an end to her. Agatha to me never had a chance, and I feel the only one who loves her truly is Rio. In this Friday the 13th parallel we revisit the Salem 7 who are absolutely terrifying, and a reveal that had me speechless and screaming.
Poor Alice doesn’t make it out of this trial alive, after she tried to protect Agatha from her mother. Agatha seemingly unknowingly absorbs her power, killing Alice. The coven seems to think it was on purpose, but I think once it happens she can’t control it. Similar to Jean Grey AKA The Phoenix. It does break my heart to see how she shuts herself off, and has this hard mean shell that forces others away. Make me excited for her character development, to see if she heals and grows from her past. Not a hero, but not an anti hero.
Once the coven leaves the trial, Rio seemingly stays behind to take care of Alice. I’m suspicious of her, but it seems more likely she stayed behind to take care of Alice.
But, as Agatha leaves, the Teen argues with her. Which lead to an intense stare down, and him not understanding what just happened, and what comes with being a witch. Towards the end of their exchange, her saying “You’re so much like your mother” had my jaw dropped. I don’t think I have had a show make me feel like this in a while. The reveal of Billy Maximoff has finally happened! I think it's safe to assume that Agatha believes Wanda is gone. Once Wanda finds out what’s been going on, I don’t think she will be to happy and even out for revenge.
Wiccan AKA Billy is here so what does this mean for the coven? I do feel that Agatha alway knew, or did she find out in that moment exchange between them? I do have a feeling maybe Billy and Wanda might be behind this journey down the road. Maybe a hex and the road is fake, and/or the Salem 7. Wanda taught Billy well, but this does make me wonder when we might see Tommy and Wanda return.
Regardless the reveal is out and this is only episode 5 and with 4 more episodes left I’m excited to see what else gets revealed. Despite its short run time, this episode was well done and just perfect. Acting, and the genius mind of Jack Schaffer makes me want her to write that Scarlet Witch solo film even more, and only her. One thing that this show has done amazing at is their music. Really complementing the show well.
