The Penguin Season Finale: "A Great Or Little Thing" Review

I can't be the only one who is kind of sad that this series is over after this spectacular finale, right? After Oz is kidnapped in the previous episode Sofia finally has one up over Oz. Oz and Francis is forced to confess their wrong doings to each other. Without spoiling anything Sofia is an ultimate manipulator in this situation and she uses their emotional past really well.

Sofia is looking to leave Gotham behind but can't do that until she sees Oz suffer. Ultimately, Sofia's plans of starting “fresh" doesn't exactly go her way and she meets a fate worse than death. Something I noticed is that throughout the series is that Oz gets darker and darker as a character. He becomes more cold and heartless than even in The Batman.

Let me finish with this: though this series was not needed I'm glad I watched it. Every week was a Rollercoaster of a ride and I'm excited for what the future holds of Matt Reeves Batman franchise. Wasn't exactly happy about Victor's situation but this was a fitting end to a spectacular series. At the end of the day Oz is still a narcissist, a liar and a sociopath all rolled up in one. And I think this is just the beginning of his reign of terror as the proclaimed, “Kingpin" of Gotham.
